Allison Cantos serves as the Family Advocacy Case Manager to assist families affected by lead poisoning. She hails from the city that never sleeps – New York!
Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the City University of New York at Queens College where she also studied Studio Art. She obtained her Master of Social Work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work where she studied macro social work in the clinical setting and was an Adaptive Leadership Fellow focusing on catalyzing the gradual change to address systemic challenges.
During her AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) service term, Allison taught literacy and reading comprehension to youth and families experiencing homelessness, which ignited her interest in closing the gap between the needs of individual clients and the services that systems provide. Allison’s work at GHHI is driven by her passion for creating equitable change through education and advocacy.Back to our people
