WASHINGTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today recognized the Rhode Island Department of Health as one of only three national winners of the 2019 National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management. Presence Health, working with community organizations, is completing a pilot program to address asthma triggers in patients’ own homes. Preliminary data suggests that the effort is resulting in better asthma control for patients.
