You are invited to join the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative and WE ACT for Environmental Justice for Town Hall Conversation among advocates on Monday, April 12th at 2:00pm ET. The discussion, led by GHHI President and CEO Ruth Ann Norton and WE ACT Director of Federal Legislative Affairs Kerene Tayloe, will center on maximizing the opportunity to eliminate lead poisoning and advance racial equity and environmental justice, through the proposed American Jobs Plan and other legislative initiatives to advance racial equity and environmental justice through investments in communities.

As part of this effort, we are also asking you and your organization to sign on to a Letter of Support for the Environmental Justice Legacy Pollution Cleanup Act of 2021. This newly proposed federal legislation is designed to advance racial equity and environmental justice through $200 billion in total housing infrastructure investments in communities, including commitments of $45 billion in lead paint hazard remediation, $45 billion in lead service line replacement, and $1 billion to Native American communities to address housing related health and safety hazards.
