The 2018 Maryland Asthma Summit is designed to bring together state and local stakeholders within the state of Maryland in asthma care and management, to discuss and learn about best practices, innovative research and interventions, and related policies, as well as have a space for open dialogue in the effort to form and sustain partnerships to address the burden of asthma and asthma disparities.

The goals of the summit are:

1. To build skills and confidence in asthma management, trigger reduction and healthy indoor environments, inhaler techniques, and understanding asthma action plans, for those who provide asthma education to individuals and families in a variety of settings

2. Breaking Down Silos: Understanding the importance of a proper asthma diagnosis and opportunities to collaborate within the community:

The Maryland Asthma Summit will have a Provider Track and Community Health Worker/Home Visitor Track. Please note that registration for the Community Health Worker/Home Visitor track is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
