Interest in Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) is growing rapidly as elected officials, policymakers, nonprofits and community leaders recognize its enormous potential to create positive change. The model harnesses city leaders’ desires to address broad problems holistically and provides the platform needed to tear down bureaucratic boundaries that preclude implementation of smarter, more efficient and more effective solutions.
The official GHHI Designation will be awarded to cities, counties and states that implement standards and practices to support re-management of housing intervention programs and funds and take concrete steps to incorporate the GHHI model. The designation incentivizes integrative, holistic approaches to housing interventions, rewards innovative leaders and ultimately results in more green, safe and healthy homes and communities across the country that can inform changes to national, state and local housing intervention standards and funding programs.

If you are interested in becoming a designated GHHI site, please contact Wes Stewart at 410-534-6447. We will work with you to understand your goals and needs and will work with you to complete a designation application. Once your application is approved by the GHHI President & CEO and senior staff, you will be assigned a Technical Assistance Specialist, who will be responsible for managing the steps needed to implement the GHHI model in your community.
